Taranaki Online

I guess New Plymouth is Taranaki's capital.

The only city in Taranaki, it is the main centre for our province.

I moved here from Hawera in late November 1999 due to work.

It has many tourist attractions and some very lovely parks, as well as a zoo.

The port provides transport for goods. The power station (while only temporarily used) provides power to the national grid when the usage gets a little too much.

Shopping is great while parking isn't really a hassle. Parking is even better if you ride a motorcycle due to dedicated motorcycle bays providing free parking. Both the Warehouse and Center City car parks also provide free parking for motorcyclists.
